Overview:
Continental Express Inc. is seeking a highly organized and experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our team in the Lowell, IN area. The Transportation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Duties:
- Plan and coordinate transportation activities, including route planning, scheduling, and dispatching
- Supervise a team of drivers , providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor transportation performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination between drivers and other departments
- Manage relationships with customer and work collaboratively with their Shipping Department to satisfy their needs and use company resources efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
- Oversee fleet management, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Resolve any transportation-related issues or delays in a timely manner
- Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining high service levels

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of transportation planning and logistics operations
- Customer service experience with attitude of providing the best service possible
- Excellent analytical skills to analyze transportation data and identify areas for improvement
- Ability to effectively manage a team and provide guidance and support
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in using technology tools
- Knowledge of fleet management best practices
- Familiarity with phone etiquette in a professional setting
