Position Overview: Container Technologies Industries LLC (CTI), a supplier of nuclear waste containers for DOE & DOD sites nationwide, is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader for the position of Controller at our facility in Helenwood, TN.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations
• Develop and maintain accurate financial statements
• Prepare and manage annual budgets
• Manage cash flow and prepare forecasts on a weekly basis
• Close books on a monthly basis
• Manage annual audits (provide all necessary documents to external auditor)
• Prepare and manage necessary tax returns
• Manage additional accounting personal
• Manage bi-weekly payroll
• Ensure receipt and payment of all invoices
• Coordinate with production and operations teams to optimize inventory management, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and minimizing waste
• Analyze production costs and variances to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
• Accurately allocate overhead and indirect costs to products and projects
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain management to negotiate favorable terms with vendors and suppliers
• Monitor and evaluate the financial impact of capital expenditures, providing analysis to support investment decisions and ROI calculations
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive leadership, providing insights into financial performance and trends
• Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning initiatives
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning
• Assist with corporate financial decisions (include growth objectives)
• Assist with HR functions as needed (onboarding of potential new employees)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Prior experience as a Controller / Assistant Controller
• Understanding of manufacturing industry and key accounting policies
• Preference for knowledge / experience in the nuclear industry
• Use of Quickbooks
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
