Consumer Direct Care Network is Hiring a Caregiver (Direct Service Professional) - Personal Care (Ketchikan) Near Ketchikan, AK

Seeking out DSP for multiple Waiver Clients to provide services in the following areas and service lines:

  • Individual with 7.25 hours per week of Personal Care Services (flexible hours, Ketchikan)
  • Individual with 14.75 hours per week of Personal Care Services (flexible hours, Ketchikan)

Position: In-home (residential) and In-community Direct Service Professional
Compensation:
$18 per hour for Respite and Chore services
$20 per hour for PCS/CFC and PCA services
Schedule: See above

Direct Service Professionals (caregiver):

Do you want to provide care and support to people in your community? As an individual Direct Service Professional (DSP), you will be at the forefront of the company as the go-to person for our clients! In this important role, you will provide Personal Care, Respite and Chore Services to people who received assistance from State Medicaid Care, Veteran Care, or Private Pay Grants/Services within their home and community settings. You may have to lift with assistance over 75 lbs. and may have frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling.

You will be hired by individual clients as an employee of Consumer Direct Care Network Alaska. The client or their authorized representative will be your managing employer and work with you to develop a schedule to provide care.

As a Direct Service Professional, you will assist Clients with tasks which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping with activities of daily living, such as walking, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, medication reminders, housekeeping, laundry, toileting, and other authorized duties as assigned
  • Transporting client(s) to and from appointments (medical), errands, and select activities
  • Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, and needs of client(s)
  • Addressing client(s) needs with respect and attention to safety
  • Submitting documentation as outlined in the CDCN agency’s policy handbook
  • Communicating with administrative staff and the client’s care team in a positive and supportive manner, returning emails/phone calls within a 24-hour turnaround time frame

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess or ability to pass a Background Check
  • Maintain a CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more
  • Lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Complete training requirements
  • Demonstration to provide the ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance (if authorized to provide transportation for a client)
