Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our medical office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Collect co-pays, process payments, and verify insurance information
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Retrieve and update medical records as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in using phone systems, computers, and other office equipment
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information
