Constellation PowerLabs is Hiring a Calibration (Electrical-Metrology) Technician/Electrical Near Piedmont, SC

About the Job

Constellation PowerLabs is currently looking for Calibration Technicians or Testing Technicians with any level of Metrology experience to work in the Metrology laboratories for Constellation Corporation. PowerLabs supports the Constellation nuclear fleet as well as external companies.

This specific posting is for our Coatesville, PA facility and includes onsite work and travel.

Primary Purpose of Position:

Responsible for performing all levels of calibrations, tests, test setups, data collection, and/or data analysis using recognized methodologies based upon a combination of experience, provided training, and written instructions.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities:

Develops and maintains proficiency in complex tests, analysis, or calibration methodologies as assigned. Develops sound conclusions and writes reports of project results.
Maintains accurate records of calibration, testing, and analytical work performed including required traceability on equipment utilized.
Computes, analyzes and records test data.
Interact with vendors on technical problems relating to assigned work.
Make recommendations or improvements on procurement of components, systems, spare parts, portable test equipment requirements, work scheduling, training, etc.
Perform corrective or routine maintenance duties to, test, repair, and calibrate instruments including cleaning and replacing components of circuits.
Perform other team tasks when assigned.

Position Specifications:

Minimum:

Demonstrated aptitude in: calibrations or basic engineering principles.
Must have the ability to work onsite at customer’s sites and gain unescorted access to secured areas as needed.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:

Associate's degree, or 60 credits toward a BS degree in a technical field, or PMEL training (no experience required), or a high school degree with a minimum of six years of relevant experience.
Metrology or related education via VoTech, military, or associate degree in technical area.

Training / Progression:

On-the-job training provided.
Advancement through progression steps available based on experience level.
