The Material Handler-Rough-Cutposition is responsible for safely and proficiently operating forklifts for transportation of material for unloading, delivery to production, and delivery to storage areas in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

Essential Functions

• Handle and transport materials in a safe and efficient manner to minimize damage to the material
• Responsible for performing daily inspections on forklift, boom, clamps and shackles to ensure they are in safe working order
• Responsible for locating and delivering frames of stone to Production
• Responsible for removing full remnant frames from Production
• Responsible for emptying dump hoppers and fall off
• Maintain buildings and grounds for cleanliness and organization
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Work Environment

This position will work in an indoor and outdoor environment in all weather conditions. This position will work in a warehouse and production environment around large machinery, overhead cranes, and power tools. There may be areas with wet floors. The production environment involves a consistently high level of noise.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Individuals must have the ability to lift a minimum of 100lbs on a regular basis.

• Good communication skills
• Ability to exercise good judgement
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Education and Experience

• Forklift experience
• High school diploma
