Consolidated Metco is Hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Near Monroe, NC

Job Summary

This role is responsible for designing, launching and maintaining production processes for new products for E-Mobility to deliver world class process performance in safety, quality, and operator experience. Also responsible for programing and fixture designs for new parts, initial setup and validating new processes. This involves overseeing the efficiency, quality and safety of manufacturing processes, needs to be an expert in selecting production equipment and working with vendors on-time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Select and install manufacturing equipment’s with full validation by working in cross functional team.
  • Lead and support manufacturing engineering activities on Electrical hub production assembly lines, including lifting, conveyorized and bench assembling method.
  • Manage project for equipment installation and material flows for production equipment and process.
  • Manage and implement new process changes driven from product changes and new product launches.
  • Drive systematic continuous improvement by using lean and automation manufacturing technologies such as PLC, Industrial Automation, robotics (Fanuc) & Vision, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), electronic process recipe management.
  • Improve quality, reduce change over time and complexity, and production efficiency by working with cross functional team using problem solving tools such as lean A3, 5-Why, lean manufacturing and six sigma.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical or electronics engineering with a minimum of 8 years of industrial assembly experience.
  • Ability to evaluate processes, equipment capability, design for assembly (DFA).
  • Project Management experience with hands on experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Read and good understanding of electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings.
  • Proficient in drawing process layouts using 2- and 3-dimensional design software such Auto Cad and Creo.
  • Good understanding of Statistical Process Controls (SPC).
  • Good Understanding of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensional and Tolerancing).
  • Hands on lean manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30.
