The Dimensional Management Engineer, in the Plastics Product Development group, is responsible for providing technical engineering and dimensional management input and direction to both internal ConMet engineering teams as well as customer engineering teams to ensure robust and manufacturable solutions for ConMet and Customer product designs. This role is responsible for reviewing customer and internal dimensional and Fit & Finish requirements, completing tolerance stack analysis, and providing feedback and recommendations on datum schemes, assembly locating strategies, and overall GD&T and dimensioning and tolerancing strategy to achieve the target requirements. The Dimensional Management Engineer must have strong engineering knowledge, IM Plastic manufacturing processes and capabilities, an expert level understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and strong communication skills to explain technical details pertaining to dimensional requirements to internal and external customers.
Ideally, this role will work out of our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates. Potentially, this role could be US remote based.
