Warehouse Shift Lead

We are currently hiring for a Warehouse Shift Lead in our Denton Texas Distribution Center. This person will provide daily leadership in the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise to our customers. The Shift Lead ensures that job duties and responsibilities of associates are safely completed in a consistent, accurate, and productive manner. They are responsible for executing the production plans by adjusting plans and staffing accordingly. In addition, the Shift Lead serves as the department trainer requiring intimate knowledge of all SOP’s and processes within our operating systems and material handling equipment. 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, develop, coach, and lead direct reports via strong communication and motivation techniques 
• Hands on engagement, working alongside associates to foster a customer centric cooperative work environment
• Maintain a safe and secure warehouse and conduct business within OSHA standards
• Identify development opportunities and lead change initiatives
• Drive fulfillment of orders on-time, with accuracy at the most efficient cost possible
• Oversee incoming receiving and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Suggest and implement process improvements
• Maintain up to date knowledge on warehouse operations for building to run smoothly 
• Lead a team of warehouse associates to ensure best in class customer service is delivered daily

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or any related field of study
• 1-3 years distribution experience in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong sense of urgency and willingness to embrace change
• Strong communicator, self-directed, motivated and goal oriented
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume distribution environment consisting of a very large and varied SKU base with multiple units of measure
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and analytical skills 
• Proficient PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office software
• Experience with RF and WMS systems required
• Familiarity with battery powered equipment such as forklift and order pickers
