Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Seize the opportunity to make a significant impact as a Quality Assurance Manager, overseeing quality assurance activities on large scale projects to enhance our enterprise work and asset management systems. Join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and plans to ensure the highest level of quality for our work and asset management systems.
  • Lead a team of functional and automation testers who conduct all phases of testing for company-wide critical systems.
  • Collaborate closely with software vendors, project managers, business stakeholders, and system integrators to devise test plans and strategies for key initiatives.
  • Develop resource and time estimates for testing activities to support project planning and cost management.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of quality assurance activities, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
  • Organize and oversee performance and stress testing activities.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that quality assurance activities are aligned with business objectives and priorities.
  • Manage and execute functional and automation testing for new releases of core software applications, release scheduling, defect testing, bundling fixes, and integration testing.
  • Improve and expand the automated regression test suites for several key systems within the work management portfolio.
  • Manage technology modernization initiatives to continuously improve and standardize the platforms utilized by the company for quality assurance.
  • Work with Testing Center of Excellence tower leads to streamline and standardize quality assurance processes and establish a governance structure within the organization.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering with a minimum of (3) years of IT experience and 3 years' IT work experience. or
  • Associate's Degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering with a minim and 5 years' IT work experience. or
  • High School Diploma/GED preferably in Information Technology and 7 years IT work experience.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance Manager role, preferably in the IT department of a utility company.
  • Experience with functional and automation testing, as well as integration testing for critical systems.
  • Knowledge of technology modernization initiatives and the ability to drive continuous improvement and standardization of quality assurance platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team of testers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Possesses the skill to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing business setting, with the ability to change priorities and efforts as needs and goals change.

  • Driver's License Required

  • Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, gloves, and safety shoes when required.
