SEEKING EXPERIENCED LAB TECHNICIAN WITH 1-2 YEARS TESTING AEROSPACE PARTS. CMM EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE PLUS!

Summary Under close supervision of the lead, Investigates and conducts experiments concerned with physical characteristics, properties, and processing of metal fasteners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conducts microscopic and macro analysis of parts and raw material and interpret and report results.
• Must be able to read and interpret all specifications and blueprints for metallurgical requirements.

Must be able to perform all qualification tests and reports on Engineering Projects.

• Review raw material purchase orders and checks new parts for fixtures and bolts. Sets up and operates tensile, stress rupture and fatigue machines and accurately records and reports results.
• Consults with engineers and performs qualification testing on engineering projects
• Performs government source testing. Must have a good understanding of metallurgy and heat treating.
