Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dental professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, maintaining infection control protocols, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing materials and instruments
- Take digital dental x-rays and be familiar with the Dexis and Dentrix System
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures and take alginate impressions
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and medical coding
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Dentrix)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to accurately document patient information and treatment plans
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate support
