Assist in the daily operation of the Lab and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment System.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities and duties of this position described here are representative of those an employee must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.

• Analyze plating baths and pre-treatment baths per the monthly schedule
• Make chemical additions or discard/replace bath as needed
• Analyze electroless nickel tanks based on workload (typically 5 times per day)
• Monitor EN controllers and make additions as needed
• Clean/evaluate rinse tanks weekly or as allowed by holding tank capacity
• Clean lab glassware weekly
• Empty filter press daily
• Answer alarms and correct any out of spec. conditions
• Ensure plating and processing baths remain within operating ranges

Position Requirements & Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s technical data and other technical books and procedures.
• Understanding of basic chemistry and the ability to use a pH and conductivity meters and perform chemical titration
• A basic understanding of pumps, level controls and sludge handling equipment
• Ability to move drums and handle chemicals safely
• Attention to detail

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

Experience:

• Wastewater treatment: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Wasterwater 5 (Preferred)
