Connections Wellness Group is Hiring an Admissions Coordinator - LPC, LMSW, LCSW Near Denton, TX

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and completion of assessments for incoming and admitted patients of Connections Wellness Group. Admissions Coordinators also coordinate with the treatment team (nursing, physician, program therapist) any pertinent information gathered during the assessment process.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s Degree in a human relations field.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in intake assessment activities within a psychiatric setting.
Licensure: LPC- Intern/Associate, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT-A, or LMFT license in good standing with the State of Texas.
Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-V, including substance use disorders, the Mental Status Exam, EMTALA, and the Texas Administrative Code.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING FUNCTION:
1. Complete Pre-Admission Screenings for all clients in the CWG system who may be deemed appropriate for such screening with treatment or referral disposition recommendations documented.
2. Assess and stabilize patients prior to leaving the facility/terminating televideo calls or coordinating admission to the facility’s partial hospitalization program or intensive outpatient program.
3. Obtain administrative approval for all admissions to facility programming.
4. Assist with Biopsychosocial Assessments when available.
5. Assist in the completion of prior authorization requests.
Note: The essential job functions of this position are not limited to the duties listed above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1. Knowledge of cultural factors and comprehension of how mental health is evaluated across the cultural spectrum.
2. Work effectively and efficiently in an independent role.
3. Ability to remain calm while working efficiently under stressful conditions.
4. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal, to effectively communicate admitting criteria to the treatment team.
5. Knowledge of criteria required for admission to partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPECIAL DEMANDS
1. Ability to sit for long periods of time (8-10 hours),
2. Ability to reach above and below the waist, turn, twist, and manipulate small tools (copier, computer, telephone, typewriter, calculator, safe, facsimile machine).
3. Ability to see well enough to read handwritten and typewritten material.
4. Ability to stand and walk the facility grounds.
5. Ability to spend 10% of the working time outside in temperatures varying from -0° F. to 110° F.
6. Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks at a moderate level.
7. Ability to occasionally handle electrical, mechanical, or equipment emergencies.
8. Available to work varied hours (i.e., evenings) as required, may be on call as needed.
9. Ability to travel between facility locations, and at times, the corporate office.
10. Ability to drive a motor vehicle to designated sites.
11. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadlines and with short notice.

THIS SECTION DESCRIBES THOSE MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND OTHER WORK AIDES AN EMPLOYEE IN THIS POSITION MUST BE ABLE TO USE.
