Connection is Hiring an AV Technician (FT) Near Falmouth, MA

Connection Services has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an AV Technician, this is an onsite opportunity in Wood Hole, MA; offering benefits working for an ocean research, technology, and education organization.
Multimedia/AV Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of media-related equipment. This position uses learned multimedia knowledge and skills to provide technical support for all staff and students. This role will be responsible for meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery benchmarks by providing a high level of customer service to end users. This is a customer-facing role that will make field visits to the departments in need.
Job Duties:
  • Work with scientists, staff, and students to assemble video and electronic media for instruction, presentation, Internet, and broadcast purposes. 
  • Provide support for seminars, webinars, and hybrid events using Zoom, Webex, or Teams.
  • Operate and troubleshoot current distance learning teleconferencing gear. Responsible for set-up and maintenance of teleconferencing unit(s).
  • Set up and manage large virtual events and live webcasts using multiple platforms and products.
  • Maintain and upgrade electronic display equipment and materials.
  • Instruct and schedule support staff as necessary.
  • Provide virtual video and audio services for live events.
  • Provide classroom AV equipment support.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of video and audio recording gear including microphone and PA system configurations and setup. 
  • Expertise with video conferencing platforms including Zoom, Webex, and MS Teams.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary as they relate to desktop support services.
  • Working knowledge of multiple computer operating systems and configuration.
  • Maybe some local travel to other locations – should have a car.
  • Knowledge of multimedia presentation/projection equipment.
