Creative Education - Classroom Facilitator (Part-Time)

The Creative Education division provides an umbrella of social and emotional learning (SEL) programs to youth in kindergarten – 12th grade. The Classroom Facilitator will implement social and emotional learning (SEL) programs during and after school in designated schools and community organizations.

The Classroom Facilitator will instruct classes on-site with assistance from school staff. Sessions are typically 45 minutes and cover ten topic areas related to social emotional learning skills.

General Responsibilities:

• Attend training to learn the assigned curriculum.
• Provide in-person instruction to youth in accordance with our various curricula utilizing the methodology acquired through training. A virtual platform may be used on an as-needed basis, per CGI.
• Collaborate with designated school staff to implement programs with fidelity.
• Plan and organize training sessions.
• Ensure each training session is reflective of the youth’s needs and is presented with a high standard of excellence.
• Maintain regular communication with school staff.
• Provide training to school personnel as needed.
• Provide feedback regarding curriculum, program design, and program implementation.
• Administer program evaluations as assigned.
• Provide assistance and support to participating schools that are implementing the program.

• Ability to be part of a small, collaborative work team.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and climb a minimum of one flight of stairs
• Reliable transportation is required.

• Curriculum writing a plus.

Hours: Part-Time with flexible hours

Pay: $20 - $40 per hour

Reports to: Creative Education Director

Requirements

We are looking for certified teaching candidates, that have experience teaching in the classroom, excellent skills in classroom management in a school setting, and the ability to work independently with youth. Associate's degree required; master’s degree preferred. Retired educators are welcome to apply.
