The Chief of Staff serves as the primary support to the President, providing information, strategy, coordination, management, and oversight for a variety of activities in support of the CT State President and the college’s mission, values and goals. The Chief of Staff works to maximize operational efficiency and ensure timely completion and implementation of various directives, policies, processes, initiatives, and projects. Responsible for driving complex project-based initiatives across the College, organizes and facilitates the strategic planning and management process, formulates senior management presentations, coordinates and integrates the activities of the direct reports to the President, oversees all facets of the daily operations of the Office of the President, acts as President’s primary liaison with management, staff, committees and the community and directly handles matters of importance to the President. This position also serves as the strategic advisor to the Connecticut State Community College President and management team with respect to marketing and public relations and is the point-person for public and media relations.
Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.).

Anticipated Salary: $157,974 approximate annual plus excellent State of CT medical insurance, retirement, and related fringe benefits.
