Job Description:As a Travel MRI Tech, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to create diagnostic images in a safe and effective manner. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting MRI scans as per the physician's orders, ensuring comfort and safety of patients during the procedure.
- Adjusting scanning techniques and parameters appropriately to improve image quality.
- Maintaining MRI equipment, reporting any malfunctions, and ensuring that the machine settings and upkeep adhere to safety standards.
- Preparing and administering contrast dyes as required under the guidance of medical staff.
- Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare team members to analyze images and determine the necessity for additional tests.
- Documenting all procedures and findings accurately and promptly for use in diagnosis and treatment.
- Associate’s degree or completion of a radiologic technology program.
- Certified and registered as an MRI Technologist by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Valid state license as required in New York or eligible for reciprocity.
- Previous experience in MRI technology preferred, but not mandatory.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to new environments and integrate quickly with new teams.
