Job Summary:
Connect Talent Solutions is seeking an entry-level Assembly Technician to join our team on a short-term contract basis. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for constructing wiring and harnesses according to specifications and quality standards. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful assembly and integration of electrical components.
Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions to understand the wiring and harness assembly requirements.
  • Assemble electrical components, wires, connectors, and other parts into wiring harnesses and panels using hand tools, crimpers, and soldering equipment.
  • Strip, cut, and label wires accurately, ensuring proper lengths and connections.
  • Follow established procedures and quality standards to ensure compliance with specifications and industry regulations.
  • Conduct quality checks at each stage of the assembly process to identify and resolve any defects or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to provide feedback on process improvements and identify any issues that arise during assembly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred but not required. This position is suitable for entry-level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components, wiring, and harness assembly principles.
  • Familiarity with hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, and soldering equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
