JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Client Finance and Analysis is responsible for delivering insights to clients and internal operations based on analysis of financial and clinical data. This position ensures development of financials and analytics including measurement of key metrics, and provides qualitative analytics to identify trends and provide actionable solutions designed to optimize overall performance. Additionally, the individual will oversee financial functions performed on behalf of clients (i.e. bookkeeping & accounting). He/She will interface with clients on a regular basis to present financial performance and strategize on recommendations for improvement.

Description

Develop and implement enterprise-wide reporting strategy that enables operation and client performance to be appropriately measured and managed in support of meeting the organization’s business objectives.

Maintain an active and involved broad client executive relationship including attending board meetings and executive joint operations committees.

Develop effective teams of analysts and performance consultants, and effectively allocate resources across the organization to achieve results and client satisfaction within budget.

Collaborate with client delivery/operations leaders to determine measurable performance metrics, and oversee the design of reports and presentation materials that effectively and accurately measure and communicate account performance.

Manage financial operations for financial risk management clients based on specific client scope. Delivering accurate and timely financial statements and analysis.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Accountable for department budget and vendor expenses ($5-10M) SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  1. Expert in health plan, managed care, or provider capitation financial analysis and expense, including analyzing medical loss ratio and health plan/provider contract performance
  2. Extensive knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid economics. Some experience analyzing commercial insurance and/or employe benefit performance is a plus.
  3. Extensive experience in data mining, report creation, and business intelligence tools
  4. Working knowledge of claims management, case management, and utilization management processes and metrics
  5. Working knowledge of employer heath plan benefits and care management outcomes reporting, a plus
  6. Working knowledge of common business intelligence tools
  7. Versatile interpersonal and communication style with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within and outside the organization.
  8. Motivational people management & leadership style with the ability to drive strategic priorities forward while maintaining operational performance
  9. Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.

  1. 4 year college degree in finance or business.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) experience a plus
  3. Minimum 7 years experience in health care finance and analytics
  4. Minimum 3 years experience leading finance operations including check cutting, bookkeeping and banking
  5. Experience in analyzing provider capitation

Compensation and Benefit Information

Compensation

  • Pay:$125,840-$201,136 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
  • Position may be eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan bonus of 10%-25% depending on role level.
  • Management level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.
