Congregation of St. Joseph/Nazareth Inc. is Hiring a Dietary Aide Near Kalamazoo, MI

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Preparing and serving food following HACCP food safety standards.
  • Preparing trays for Sisters and residents as indicated with proper portion/consistency, in an attractive, sanitary manner following diet specifications.
  • Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas of kitchen/dining rooms, including pots and pans and working in the dish room.
  • Follow tray line diet specifications and production manuals

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Read, write and follow directives
  • Take/follow direction from Management
  • Follow Dietary Department policies and procedures
  • Practice proper personal hygiene including repetitive hand washing
  • Work as a team member and get along well with others
  • Work well independently
  • Practice patience and consideration towards fellow employees and residents
  • Be polite and mannerly at all times

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift 50# without assistance
  • Perform repetitive motion tasks within defined guidelines of department
  • Bend, stoop, reach or stand for prolonged periods of time

  • Achieves annual goals. Possesses and applies knowledge, skills and abilities. Displays an understanding of how the job relates to others. Strives for successful outcomes in serving the sisters and staff.
