Introduction: Congregation Anshai Torah, a vibrant synagogue located near Dallas in Plano, Texas, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Director. This role is crucial in shaping the educational experiences and nurturing environment for our youngest community members, with a focus on incorporating our cherished values to grow our next generation.

Responsibilities:

• Educational Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and ensure the implementation of developmentally appropriate practices to foster the cognitive, social, and emotional development of children.
• Administrative Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including staff management, curriculum development, and program evaluation. Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and adherence to high quality standards.
• Cultural Integration: Seamlessly integrate knowledge of Jewish culture, language, and practices into the curriculum, enriching the learning environment.
• Staff Development: Cultivate a supportive workplace, offer professional development opportunities, and maintain a cohesive educational approach.
• Community Engagement: Establish strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and the broader synagogue community. Ensure clear and effective communication to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Licensing: Must possess a Texas Childcare Director's License.
• Experience: At least three years at the director or assistant director level and three years of classroom experience.
• Cultural Competency: Knowledge of Jewish culture, language, and practices is preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and administrative skills with a proven ability to inspire and guide a team.
• Legal Requirements: Clean criminal record with no child-related offenses.
