About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP for Late Clinical Development in Oncology. This senior executive role is pivotal to the success of the R&D pipeline, with a focus on transforming the lives of patients through the development of innovative therapies. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a world-class organization of oncology and immuno-oncology clinical development professionals, overseeing the entire late-stage oncology portfolio, and ensuring the design and execution of clinical research plans with speed and rigor. Key responsibilities include talent championing, creating a vision for the clinical development organization, supervising clinical trial activities, interfacing with key thought leaders, managing global regulatory submissions, and strategic partnership with the Early Clinical Development team. The role requires a deep understanding of drug development, significant leadership experience in oncology, and a MD degree (Board certified in oncology preferred).Applicants for this role at the company should have a MD degree, with a strong preference for Board certification in oncology, and at least 10 years of significant clinical research and drug development expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in global drug filing and regulatory interactions, as well as successful experience in team leadership and motivation. A background in immuno-oncology is desired, along with experience in business development and licensing within the oncology sector. The role demands a leader who can navigate a highly matrixed work environment, collaborate effectively across global teams, and promote a culture that values diversity, integrity, coaching, and accountability. The ability to travel domestically and internationally is also required.
