Overview
Summary
The SVP Finance Operations will be responsible for leading the management team's effort in driving profitability throughout the income statement. The SVP will also assist in the approval of Proformas generated by business development and others to ensure the viability of each underwriting. The SVP will also identify and aid the underwriting process for return-on-investment opportunities and drive excellence through the forecasting and budget process The SVP will be responsible for oversight of the day-to-day leadership of Pyramid's staff within the regional finance structure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support operations financial analysis needs and provide guidance on opportunities to improve the financial performance of the properties.
  • Work with ownership as needed when issues are escalated (return-on-investment opportunities, cash management, hotel management agreements, etc.).
  • Monitor the monthly reporting & annual budget process to ensure a cadence of accountability is maintained.
  • Ensure teams follow procedures to maintain and adequate level of internal controls.
  • Support the operations team for their analytic needs.
  • Ensure all discipline leaders attract, hire, train, motivate, mentor, performance manage and retain top talent in alignment with company practice and in support of the desired company culture and service delivery expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development and their analyst group to build pro formas which showcase Pyramid's best in class performance capabilities.
  • Work to consistently refine best practices and inspire creativity of leaders at all levels to identify new ways to improve future performance.
  • Follow direction set by Chief Financial Officer in collaboration with PGH's Chief Operating Officer.
Qualifications
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum of 20 years' experience in Hospitality finance operations and/or finance serve to strengthen a candidate's profile.
  • Four-year college degree required, master's degree would strengthen a candidate's profile.
  • Proven success in team selection, situational leadership, motivation, leading change, team building and accountability to achieve breakthrough performance across the organization.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Must possess a strong capability to analyze information, understand and identify opportunities for performance and process improvement and lead others to successfully act on identified opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills along with an ability to prioritize work to achieve maximum performance from available resources.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with C-level executives internally and externally to advance Company performance and capabilities.
  • Ability to marshal resources and inspire a team to achieve company goals and objectives.
