The Director of Hardware Engineering will be a part of the Hardware team and lead a team of Hardware and Firmware Engineers on current and next generation product development. Key Responsibilities
• Drive hardware device architecture and roadmap across company. Ensuring hardware meets the needs of executive team, supply chain team, customer success team, field team, product teams and software teams.
• Fully own technology transfer to manufacturing, resolving all manufacturability issues, manufacturing testing development, process development and documentation.
• Drive proof of concept hardware development and develop business and usage cases for next generation technologies.
• Drive the resolution of all customer and field team hardware issues including tracking and monitoring installation and customer issues leading the root cause investigations through the final technology implementation.
• Drive the development of next generation hardware products.
• Lead a multi-functional team of 6 hardware and firmware engineers, ensuring all tasks are identified, executed, and completed
• Responsible for coordinating schedules and ensuring sufficient resources to meet deadlines, while maintaining successful budget execution.
• Personnel and Team Development: Developing and maintaining a team who are able to Develop, Integrate, and Verify Requirements
• Providing clear communication to both internal and external team members as well as executive management Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required; MBA or other Master’s degree is preferred but not required
• 7 years' experience in hardware engineering
• 4 years experience in PCB layout
• 5 years' experience managing a team
• Experience working with IoT devices
• Experience working with firmware engineering teams, firmware engineering experience strongly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of board-level electronics and electrical systems
• Demonstrated systems engineering full lifecycle experience
• Strong team collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience as both a technical leader and individual contributor in systems integration
• Strong project management skills, certification(s) preferred but not required

- Salary range: $175,000 – 215,000
- Hybrid work environment (at least 3 days/week in Denver office)
