Confidential - Tier 1 Auto Supplier is Hiring a Quality Technician - 2nd Shift Near Warren, MI

The Quality Technician’s purpose is to ensure product quality through audits, performing inspection and testing, and by adhering to the established Quality Management System. Product audits are accomplished during receiving inspection, work-in-process inspection and final inspection activities.

The Quality Technician responsibilities may be focused on Calibration, SPC, or Part Inspection as directed by Supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure that work instructions relating to part inspection, identification, lot traceability, and the completion of inspection documentation are being followed.

· Maintain control of part specific work instructions, including visual aids, ensuring that current documents are available each work station.

· Train Production personnel in part specific inspection functions.

· Support the PPAP data collection process.

· Support the QE or Quality Supervisor by performing the following activities, as required:

- Data collection and data entry.

- Generate SPC charts.

- Report out of control conditions.

- Supervise or participate in GR&R studies.

· May be required to verify and maintain inventory of all test related perishable items, i.e. bolts, washers, and test plates.

· If assigned to Calibration, maintain the calibration system in accordance with established procedures and practice. Maintain fixture gages in good working condition.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The employee is expected to be physically able to perform job duties, which require standing, walking, and bending. Must be able to pick up and handle large and small parts within reason, and work with inspection tools. The employee must have transportation and be willing and able to drive to other Wico locations if assigned.

General knowledge:

· Quality Systems

· Shop Math

· Measuring Tools

· Auditing Techniques helpful

· Basic Computer Skills

· Basic SPC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
