Description
Seeking a full-time staff accountant for a confidential Business Management Organization. Position offers company sponsored health, vision, and dental benefits. Candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and month end close duties.
Responsibilities
· Prepare and maintain various reports in a timely manner for department and management use.
· Review financial information and develop spreadsheets to analyze data.
· Maintain general ledgers for multiple entities.
· Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
· Process accounts payable for multiple entities.
· Process accounts receivable for multiple entities.
· Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
· Manage documents using a paperless filing system.
· Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
· Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
· Perform month end close of assigned entities.
· Prepare 1099s, sales tax returns, business tax returns, and tax work papers for multiple entities.
Qualifications
· Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
· Entry level up to 2 years of experience preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Intermediate or Advanced Excel Skills preferred. Experience with pivot tables and advanced formulas a plus.
· Experience with QuickBooks a plus.
· Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and prioritize workload.
