Job Description

Independent Car Dealership is currently hiring a motivated General Sales Manager to join our busy team. If you are disciplined, can lead by example, and are hands on, then this is the role for you. The right candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, with a proven track record of overseeing the successful operation of the entire dealership.

This position reports to the active GM

Job Summary:

  • Ensure that the dealership exceeds its vehicle sales and other objectives on a consistent basis, through personal engagement.
  • Ensure that the dealership reaches its profit objective on a monthly and annual basis.
  • You will be expected to accomplish the above objectives through planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the activities of the dealership operations.
  • Focus on employee development and retention.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with lenders and partners.
  • Develop culture where customer retention is valued and achieved.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop monthly and annual goals and objectives and to review actual performance.
  • Achieve planned unit sales volume by offering balanced and representative vehicle inventories.
  • Oversee the process of appraising, reconditioning, wholesaling, and merchandising used vehicle inventory.
  • Achieve assigned profit goals on a monthly basis.
  • Lead by example and ensure that the core values of the Company are encompassed in behavior at all times.
  • Guide, train, and mentor associates in an effort to develop and retain.
  • Actively Involved with Sales staff
  • Desking new/used transactions
  • Merchandising Lot
  • Staff Training

Requirements:

  • 3 years previous Automotive Management experience
  • Great communication skills
  • Proven results
  • High energy
  • Self-starter
  • Experience with bank finance
  • Knowledge of CRM and DMS systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
