We are looking for a Hardwoods Sales and Operations Manager to join our thriving family-and employee-owned building materials and lumber company! $115K - $1650K total comp (includes salary bonus). We also offer an excellent benefits package and a very generous ESOP program!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage hardwood sales counter and team (3-4 salespeople, handling 100 daily transactions)
• Oversee hardwood inventory replenishment, distribution, day-to-day operations of hardwood business and collaborate with buyers to maintain inventory levels
• Serve as a product expert for hardwood products
• Support sales team with sourcing, quoting, and selling various products (i.e. hardwood lumber, plywood, moldings, veneers, and specialty panels, outdoor decking, etc.)

Key Deliverables:

• Grow hardwood product categories by 15% year over year for the next 4 years
• Identify distribution efficiencies for a more profitable model
• Grow sales to existing customers through internal partnerships
• Add 50 "A" accounts over the next 5 years
• Identify and remove dead SKUs

Requirements:

• 7-10 yr. Hardwood industry experience
• Experience running an existing Hardwood business
• Experience selling to manufacturers on a medium to smaller scale
• 5-10 yr. B2B Sales experience
• Experience buying directly from mills and knowledge of milling rough products into finished goods
