Overview:

This position REQUIRES possession of a state Guard Card and Firearm Permit (training provided)

Applicants must be able to pass a federal background check, and qualify for an armed security license

Must be able to work nights and weekends

Overview of Duties and Physical Requirements

• Provide security services at an federal EPA laboratory
• Conduct frequent foot patrols, maintain accurate logs and reports, follow precise standard operating procedures, protocols, and alert rosters
• Utilization of tour tracking software in the performance of daily duties
• Collaboration with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
• Continuous physical effort that requires prolonged periods of walking, standing
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Certification Requirements

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Other

• Hiring immediately
• Experience with firearm safety and security operations preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to provide documentation showing authorization to work in the U.S.
• Employment is conditioned on successful completion of background check

If prior military, must provide DD214

Bonus is paid as follows: $600.00 at 90 days post employment*
