Job Description:

As a Construction Estimator at Triad Associates, you will play a pivotal role in our pre-construction phase. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis of construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive estimates, proposals, and budgets for potential projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to identify project requirements.
  • Evaluate and analyze subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing when necessary.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of costs, materials, and suppliers.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs.
  • Ensure estimates align with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of accurate project schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Project).
