As the VP, Global Royalties, you'll oversee the global publishing royalties teams with a keen understanding of the need for a world class client experience, efficient operations and technology integration. Specifically ensuring the timely processing of income to ensure publishing client royalty statements are rendered and payments are made in accordance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities:

What you'll do:

Oversee day to day operations of Royalty Department, including regional staff in UK, DE and AU.

Outline of Specific Functions:

  • Lead international teams with an eye to improved collaboration, functionality and efficiency.
  • Accurately calculate, report, and pay royalties in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with all publishing department teams to ensure Concords ability to scale and grow its global publishing business to a world-class level.
  • Ensure client satisfaction experience in receipt of reporting and payment, plus additional information as per market demands.
  • Evaluate and implement world class solutions for improved operations, functionality, processing, client experience.
  • Key representative for development and integration of next generation copyright and royalties software systems.
  • Lump Sum Distributions Tracking/Reconciling/Allocating from various sources
  • Create templates for Royalties and Income Tracking to help organize receipts and track through processing.
  • Ad hoc and routine inter-company reporting.
  • Ensures effective staff training, evaluates staff performance, provides input for the development of the department budget, and hires, promotes, and terminates staff and recommends salary actions as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

What youll need:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration/management, music or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years music publishing experience, and at least 5 years managerial experience overseeing a department of at least 5 employees required.
  • Passion for leadership, professional development and process improvement required.
  • Proven track record of process improvement and technological innovation required.
  • In depth knowledge of Royalty Processing Systems required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including use of pivot tables, lookups, etc. required.
  • Database experience is a plus, including use of SQL, Snowflake and/or PowerBI
  • Superb Communication skills required.
  • Prior experience in a client focused role a must.

*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
