BASIC PURPOSE:
Develops and delivers reports using Jet Reports, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and Excel VBA amongst other tools. Collaborates and provides support to strategic business units on key financial processes including, but not limited to monthly financials, future operating income, cash flow projections and other financial metrics. Assists the Business Reporting Manager in new report development, identifying inefficiencies, and communicating business insight. Information obtained from such efforts is used to assist the Senior Leadership Team and Owners with evaluating business results and issues in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in development of detailed and high-level reports for Senior Management on a variety of topics including both financial and non-financial information on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel’s Visual Basic, or other tools, to identify and automate redundant reporting tasks.
  • Using Excel’s Jet Reports, design financial and operational reports by extracting data from the Yardi and Café databases to measure key performance indicators.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of all reports distributed by the Business Reporting Team.
  • Using Tableau, design financial and operational dashboards by extracting data from the Yardi and Café databases to measure key performance indicators.
  • Other special projects and tasks will be assigned as needs are identified.
  • This position is responsible for organizing meetings, providing financial data to Operations, cross training others, and documenting issues in a clear and concise manner that will assist Senior Management with the overall management of our real estate assets.

Pay for this position is commensurate with experience of candidate.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

  • Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Intermediate skills with VBA Macros, Jet Reports, financial statements, and relational database structure is preferred.
  • Microsoft Power Automate, Tableau, and Business Intelligence software knowledge a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
  • Must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel using complex formulas and macro development using VBA in Excel (or equivalent Power Automate). A comprehensive working knowledge of various computer applications including SharePoint, Microsoft Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English for safety and productivity reasons.
