Concord Hill School Marketing and Design Coordinator (Part-Time)

Concord Hill School is seeking a dynamic and innovative Part-Time Marketing & Design Coordinator to join our team. This position, operating at 0.6 FTE, plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the school’s brand. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that print and online media follow the schools’ brand guidelines and that messaging is effective and engaging. cohesive and effective across all platforms and publications (website, email, social media, signage, magazine, and other print collateral).

Position:

  • Year round (11-month) position, reporting directly to the Director of Advancement
  • Position to commence the summer of 2024 (July or August)
  • Flexible 0.6 FTE schedule (three full days, or spread out), but must be on campus on Fridays from 8:30 until at least noon.

Primary Responsibilities & Opportunities

Branding and Design:

  • Ensure consistent use of the brand across all platforms and materials.
  • Design a wide range of online and visual collateral, including newsletters, signage, ads, brochures, social media graphics, and presentations.
  • Oversee the design of larger publications such as the Courier magazine and yearbook to maintain brand integrity and visual appeal.

Marketing Strategy:

  • Plan and execute internal marketing campaigns for the CHS community, including family engagement events, admissions, fundraising, and auxiliary programming.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop external marketing plans for admissions and auxiliary programming to attract prospective families and support fundraising efforts.

Communications:

  • Understand and develop tactics to engage different constituencies within the community, including parents/guardians, alumni, faculty and staff, students, and donors.
  • Work closely with the Head of School (HoS) and other directors to create effective and engaging written communications that align with the school's goals and values.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Admission and Advancement Team to maintain and enhance the school's social media presence, utilizing platforms effectively to reach various audiences.
  • Manage CHS Website (Wordpress): Schedule and oversee website redesigns, including maintenance of website photography and managing the outsourcing of video content production.
  • Apply Anti-bias Anti-racist (ABAR) Principles: Ensure all communication and marketing materials are developed with an ABAR lens, fostering inclusive and diverse perspectives. Cultivate authentic relationships with community members to ensure representation and inclusivity in communications output.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in branding, communications, marketing, or related role preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in photography, with the ability to visually communicate the spirit and values of Concord Hill School.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with website management (Wordpress), Google applications, and social media platforms.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-bias principles.
