Position Description:The Driver Education Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Adult & Community Education, provides for program development, program management, and instructional oversight for the Concord-Carlisle Driver Education programs.General Duties and Responsibilities: * Coordinates use of facilities for the Driver Education program, at CCHS or in the community.* Administers the Driver Education Program: Renews the yearly Professional Driving School license and manages periodic RMV audits; Works with the Director to recruit, hire, train, and supervise all Driver Education instructors in accordance with CCRSD and Massachusetts RMV policies; Maintains and updates classroom curriculum, parent class curriculum, and on-the-road instruction for CCHS students and the community; Manages student registrations and driving records in both CCACE computer-based registration system and the Massachusetts RMV’s ATLAS system.* Monitors Driver Education enrollments to ensure students are paid in full, and assessed any additional fees for missed lessons, additional lessons or road test sponsorship. * Enters requisitions and submits invoices, as well as prepares payroll for payment for all Driver Education related expenses.* Promotes the Driver Education program within the school and through the community. * Acquires and maintains the Driver Education vehicles, including scheduling and tracking car maintenance with CCRSD automotive. * Provides General Office Support: Attends weekly staff meeting with Director and other Coordinators; Assists the other Coordinators and Director during peak registration periods; Other duties as assigned* The Coordinator may work additional hours instructing students in the classroom and/or behind-the-wheel. The expectation is that the Coordinator will be responsible for Parent Classes and Modules 1 & 2 of the classroom portion. The Driver Education Coordinator should possess or obtain Massachusetts Professional Driving Instructor status, and have demonstrated experience in teaching and program management. Advanced abilities in database management, Microsoft Office, and web-based applications are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.The position is part-time, 25 hours per week, 12 months per year; specific schedule can be arranged with the Director.
