What is a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant?
A Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant, or Home Health COTA, travels to a patient's home to administer services and help the individual maintain their independence while they safely heal at home.
What does a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant do?
A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) administers occupational therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist and Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Manager.
What are the qualifications for a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant?
Do you need home health care experience to be a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant?
Previous home health experience is not required. Ask us about our mentorship program, where you will gain experiential training under the supervision of an enthusiastic role model.
