Responsibilities: - Provide direct care and support to individuals in a residential or community setting - Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medications according to prescribed instructions - Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals - Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary - Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment - Engage in meaningful activities with individuals to promote socialization and overall well-being Skills: - First aid and CPR certification - Experience in caregiving, nursing home, or direct support roles preferred - Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures - Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals - Ability to adapt to different care plans and follow instructions accurately - Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the role - Knowledge of senior care principles and best practices Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
