Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager who will be responsible for leading the quality assurance team and overseeing all quality-related activities in the company. QA Manager is also responsible for ensuring that every product and service meets the established standards of quality and engineering including reliability and performance through the establishment of procedures and continuous improvement programs. QA Manager acts as the Management Representative for the company’s quality management system.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the quality assurance team and all quality-related programs in the company.
- Interpret, evaluate, and implement quality assurance standards.
- Plan, conducts, and monitor testing and inspection of products and services to ensure quality.
- Uses statistical quality tools to analyze data for developing improvements for products and processes.
- Lead new customer development projects and production part approval processes (PPAPs).
- Develop manufacturing strategies for efficiency and quality improvement.
- Creates detailed quality reports for customers and engineering.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions for continuous improvement.
- Detect and properly handle non-conformance products.
- Use measuring tools such as a caliper, micrometer, and other high-precision tools to perform a quality inspection.
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement
- Analyze data to determine areas of strength and weakness in the production process
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and other industry standards
- Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions when necessary
- Fabricate quality systems to monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance, HACCP, QA/QC, and CGMP
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and quality management principles
- Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive reports
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external auditors
- Experience in conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions
- 5 years of experience in management in the Manufacturing Industry REQUIRED
- Experience in the elevator industry preferred.
- Experience in sheet metal preferred.
- Use of high-precision measuring tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills (failure analysis).
- Knowledge of Statistical Quality Tools (Minitab).
