Concentra, the largest occupational health care company in the country, is looking for a Physician to lead an outpatient clinic in Wilkes Barre, PA. You and your team of expert colleagues including physical therapy will help thousands of patients thrive again. Recruitment bonus available.

Wilkes-Barre, PA is located in northeast Pennsylvania about a two hour drive north of Philadelphia and two hour drive west of New York City providing a great place to live and work with convenient access to major metros. Wilkes-Barre is situated in the upper Susquehanna River valley and offers a wide range of outdoor activities including kayaking, hiking/biking trails, four state parks and skiing in Pocono mountains. This area has four indoor concert and entertainment venues including a casino. Family friendly activities include museums, art galleries and minor league professional baseball and hockey teams. The community also benefits from a variety of school options including quality public, private and charter schools. Wilkes-Barre is home to three colleges and universities and has an active night life and a wide range of restaurants.

Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Assures personal compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting bodies.
 Evaluates and treats Center patients in accordance with Concentra's medical model.
 Establishes and monitors appropriate level of care for center patients.
 Completes all medical record documentation prior to end of shift.
 Works with Center Therapy Director and Center Operations Director to ensure practice success
 Recommends potential growth opportunities for new or existing services within the Center.
 Meets with Concentra's Area Medical Director or designate to discuss quality of patient care, review policies, procedures, outcomes reports, and records.
 Participates in quality management processes including encouragement of clinical support staff to assure proficiency in the delivery of clinical support activities.
 Calls client representatives following employee treatment for initial injury and/or at any significant change in status.
 Calls patients to ensure their well-being as needed following center visits.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS

• Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
• Procedural skills
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a primary care specialty and/or occupational medicine

Additional

• Must be proficient with basic suturing/laceration repairs and basic X-ray reads
• Must be comfortable seeing a pediatric patient demographic two years and older
