The Physical Therapy Operations Director builds clinical teams focused on service delivery, driving key business metrics, clinician support and growing core business covering multiple outpatient orthopedic clinics within the geographic area. Also, responsible for implementation of strategy and maintaining internal and external relationships across the markets. Ensures superb patient care, satisfaction, and employer experience. Accountable for therapy management and specialist program support and integration within all sites (centers and on-sites) within area of responsibility. 100% G&A with 80% of the time spent at sites.
• Ensure quality and patient safety through the execution of evidence-based therapy model and specialist program across markets and service lines• Manage key clinical metrics and holds therapists and key stakeholders accountable for appropriate referral patterns, Visits per Case, percentage of Therapy SDE, percentage Seen, TMP, specialist capture and other disability management and patient-care metrics generated by Business Intelligence and Clinical Analytics
• Monitor and collaborate with clinical leadership to optimize clinical outcomes and intervenes with outlier case management• Maintain clinical competence in patient care and EMR/PM systems which allows to coach and fill in therapy care as needed• Identify and collaborates with clinical leadership for therapy and specialist Coding and EMR intervention and re-training• Participate in appropriate risk management activities• Drive patient and client experience and satisfaction metrics such as TAT, NPS, NPER, ENPS• Mentor therapists on Perfect PT visit and Orange Book service delivery• Work collaboratively with medical and operations to ensure appropriate support and work flows to foster Orange Book environment for integrative care delivery inclusive of primary care, therapy, and CAS/AMS• Work collaboratively with operations, medical and the director of specialists to optimize specialist onboarding, specialist and private practice relationship management, center-based specialist workflow optimization, and CAS/AMS growth strategies with adjustor, employer and payor
• Maintain and develop relationships with employers, payers, referral sources, networks, local communities, etc. to drive market growth while responding to requests within 24 hours• Mentor and coach therapists regarding the therapy model, the CAS/AMS program, clinical outcomes, business metrics, patient/client satisfaction and center management• Develop colleague success through all aspects of the talent life cycle for therapy within the region including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, mentoring/development, engagement, retention, performance management and succession planning• Ensure patient care delivery teams are functioning at an optimal level• Foster an environment of collaboration, professionalism, patient/colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement and reward and recognition• Lead and promote collaboration across multiple disciplines and teams to achieve clinical and business outcomes• Develop and execute action plans to address gaps in financial performance and growth across service lines to achieve the annual business plan• Plan and execute strategies as well as new clinical and business processes within the region• Manage therapy staffing, specialist program support, and personnel costs• Manage and monitors key clinical metrics including efficiencies, cost per encounter, coding and documentation, and others, while understanding the relationship between these and financial outcomes
