Conair LLC, a global leader in the manufacture and distribution of personal care, health & beauty products, premium kitchen electrics, tools, and cookware, is seeking a Logistics/Import Assistant located in our East Windsor, NJ location. You will be an integral member of our overall Supply Chain organization ensuring our products are where they need to be at the time we need them to be there.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Review new shipments coming to NY/Carlisle, PA designating truckers and movement type.
• Have oversight of deliveries and truckers used for our Carlisle, PA Distribution Center.
• Review/approve trucking, bobtail, chassis and per diem invoices.
• Review Shipments for All Facilities
• Maintain Import Data (such as Vessel changes, new ETA dates, BL#, etc….)
• Act as our C-TPAT Administrator
• Review paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, and storage charges are billed correctly.
• Maintain spreadsheets on importation on status of all shipments.
• Take appropriate actions to complete tasks accurately
• Conducts logistics projects if necessary.
• Once trained, have the ability to answer questions and accomplish tasks without direct guidance

Our Successful Candidate Will Have:

• At least one year of experience in an import department, preferably in an office environment
• Basic knowledge of shipping regulations and policies.
• Associates degree in Business or related experience
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• A desire to solve problems and do so in a timely manner.
• A willingness to be flexible in work assignments and otherwise support co-workers when needed

And Ideally Will Also Have:

• Experience within an International Logistics department
• Experience in the transportation industry, although not required
