Comunilife is looking for an experienced Clinical Supervisor to fill an open positon in its newest Human Resource Administration (HRA) Bronx congregate program. This program will provide permanent supportive housing and case management services for adults living with HIV/AIDS and chronic medical conditions as well as Young Adults (18-24) aging out of foster care.
Qualifications:
5 Day/35 work week Non-Remote Position (In-Office/Some Field Work)
Be able to navigate New York City by local transportation systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Google Workspace program/Microsoft Office Suite
Familiar with AWARDS, Child and Children Integrated Reporting System (CAIRS), Coordinated Assessment and Placement System (CAPS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master Degree in Social Work
Active New York State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC-T or CASAC) a plus
Knowledge of HRA Congregate Housing Program guidelines
Four (4) years’ Supervisory work experience overseeing a case management team.
Direct clinical service experience with persons with living with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, serious mental illness, and homelessness
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all clinical services meet professional standards
Oversee quality assurance of case management services
Performs audits of client charts
Oversee and implement home visit policy and procedure
Train new and current case mangers
Supervise and coordinate efforts to secure government benefits for clients
Deescalate difficult situations involving clients
Prepare and submit all required program statistics and reports
Assist with developing comprehensive group programming
Review, complete, and sign psycho-social assessments
Conduct weekly supervisory conferences with case management team
Coordinate new client intakes and interviews with HASA
Track and report new client referral information on a weekly basis
Prepare intake interview documents for new clients

For 30 years, Comunilife (started in 1989) has been committed to improving the quality of life and creating a healthier tomorrow for New Yorkers with special needs in the Hispanic and broader communities, by providing culturally competent health and human services and a continuum of affordable and supportive housing. In 2017, Comunilife met the needs of more than 2,100 low-income and vulnerable New Yorkers. Roughly 90% of our clients have incomes below the federal poverty line; 90% are African-American or Latino; and 50% have Spanish as their primary (or sole) language. All struggle with profo...und challenges, i.e. chronic homelessness; HIV/AIDS and other major medical issues; serious mental illnesses and substance abuse. Comunilifes affordable and supportive housing programs address the need for safe, affordable, service enriched housing for a low-income population that has difficulty maintaining stable housing. A majority of our housing clients have a history of homelessness and/or long-term hospitalizations. Many are living with mental illness, HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. Comunilife has 1806 apartments/units in 10 supportive residences, 3 low-income apartment buildings and 981 scatter site apartments in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. Our Medical Respite program provides short-term supportive housing and case management services to multiply-challenged patients leaving hospital care without a viable home in which to recuperate. Comunilife is a leader in the field of Latina adolescent suicide prevention. Our Life is Precious Program, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2018, provides non-clinical services to girls ages 12 to 17 in the Bronx (2008), Brooklyn (2009) and Queens (2015).Activities include academic support, creative arts therapies, music lessons, wellness activities and concrete family services, are designed to reduce the risk factors associated with Latina adolescent suicide.
