COMTEC INFORMATION SYSTEMS is Hiring a Fire Alarm Technician Near Grand Junction, CO

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, service & repair fire alarm systems, access control and security systems.
  • Install boxes, pull cable, install devices, program alarm panel and test system on new construction projects.
  • Handle service issues on-site including accurately preparing paperwork.
  • Communicate clearly as a team with coworkers and customers.
  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems.
  • Provide specific solutions and recommendations to the service manager.
  • Must be available to respond to occasional after hours on call schedule.
  • Perform fire alarm inspections and accurately prepare paperwork that meets code.

Required Skills:

  • Experience as a low / high voltage electrician and asset but not required.
  • NICET Certification and asset but not required.
  • Ability to run conduit and cable.
  • Knowledge of building & fire codes for inspection purposes.
  • Problem-solving abilities and customer relation skills.
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
