Computer Ministry is Hiring a Technical Services Specialist Near Colorado, CO

Position Objective:

To provide ministry focused, best-in-class tech support and leadership our Ministry Partners rave about!

Position Description:

The Technical Services Specialist will initially be a full-time salaried position with Computers In Ministry, directly reporting to the Helpdesk Manger.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provides in person and remote help desk IT support: trouble shooting of networked devices, including PC's, printers and similar hardware, including application software and Microsoft 365.
  • Document, track, and monitor customer problems to ensure timely resolution.
  • Works with Helpdesk Manager, Ministry Partner leadership and other CIM staff to achieve the best blend of comprehensive, end-user focused support services.
  • Understand and be able to execute escalation procedures effectively.
  • Assists with client software installations and upgrades.
  • Assist with the monitoring of the automated network failure notification system as implemented within client infrastructure
  • Assists with the maintenance and updating of network documentation, including but not limited to: inventory, equipment/software configurations, and records
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Helpdesk Manager

Qualifications:

  • Engaging, enthusiastic and encouraging phone and in-person customer support skills
  • Ability and desire to mentor others professionally and spiritually
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Passion and ability to learn new things
  • Aptitude for pro-active systems and project management

Experience:

  • Three years experience in end-user, hardware and software technical support
  • Two years support experience in a Windows-based network environment
  • Experience in Windows server administration desired
  • Microsoft certification desired
  • Apple support experience desired
  • Experience with team-based projects
