We have been retained by our client in Houston to deliver a Full Stack .NET Developer on a long-term contract basis or contract to hire basis, to work onsite an excellent office environment and culture that is found at our client s location. We are seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to join our client s development team that will treat you as a first class citizen , and enable you to experience significant career growth on this team working on this large, complex, web-tenant application.

Our client s company culture is excellent. Turnover is low. This software engineering team is experiencing growth and is evolving and improving quickly. Work with various technologies including Angular, Typescript, HTML, Bootstrap, C#, .Net, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Git, C# REST APIs, and Visual Studio. 4 years of C# required. Angular skills are preferred (Angular 13 highly preferred), any javascript framework i.e. React, Vue.js, jQuery, or JSON experience is helpful. Our preferred candidate has experience with SQL Server, Kendo UI, Angular, RabbitMQ, NServiceBus, ODATA, Test Driven Development, modern testing frameworks, and Highway.Data all preferred, but not required.

The Full Stack .NET Developer should be able to exercise critical problem-solving skills for situations that need immediate technical resolutions as well as providing long term solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical designs, estimates of development time, and plan individual deliverable work using Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
• Develop functionality with a focus on quality and assuring proper unit and integration test coverage. Knowledge of TDD is preferred, but not required.
• Collaborate with QA team to support test plans and execution.
• Prepare and present status updates for current work tasks, share any blocking items, and provide expected completion dates of work items.
• Assist architects and leads with technical specifications and develop solutions in support of business requirements.
• Work directly with team members and business analysts to understand new/changing business requirements and functional enhancements as requested. This includes delivering high-value technical solutions in support of changing business requirements and initiatives.
• Assist with performing systems analysis for projects of major scope and various complexities to provide a means for solving technical and business-related problems/challenges.
• Support existing business application(s) by troubleshooting issues, analyzing possible cause, defining solutions, and working through defined change control processes to enable quick resolution.
• Acquire and maintain system and business knowledge needed to support both end users and other internal or external technical teams.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications

• We prefer a .NET Developer with software engineering skills who is proficient in various technologies including including .NET, C#, Typescript, HTML, Bootstrap, Entity Framework, Relational Databases, Git, REST APIs, and Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code. Angular skills are preferred, Angular version 13 highly preferred, or any javascript framework experience is helpful. SQL Server, Kendo UI, Angular 13, RabbitMQ, NServiceBus, ODATA, Test Driven Development, modern testing frameworks, and Highway.Data all preferred, but not required.
• Experience developing and driving adoption of public APIs for use by other developers.
• Experience developing C# REST API s and using any message queues is preferred.
• Proven experience in communicating with team members and product managers to collect requirements and describe software product features.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, Scrum, Kanban, and backlog management systems.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
• Ability to pick up on technical concepts quickly and can learn new skills and knowledge.
• Enjoys working hard in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment.

Employment Type: Contract or contract to hire

M-F, 40 hours per week, onsite Houston client offices.
Hourly Rate: $60.00 to $70.00 / hour w-2 employment
