Summary Overview:
The ASD Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring we are maximizing resource capacity within the Application Solutions Division. A successful Resource Manager will combine their industry experience, business process, and expertise to assist in ensuring our teams are happy, motivated, and inspired to execute their assignments successfully. This team member will implement strategic resource management using a standard methodology, keeping industry best practices for professional services and while keeping CGS’s unique business needs at top of mind. The Resource Manager is responsible for communicating updates to the Project Manager regarding planning, scheduling, allocating, and re-allocating resources to our projects and clients. This a team member to be comfortable in client-facing environments and be able to communicate on all levels of the organization. As a representative of both the requirements of the people and the business, heavy collaboration between the Resource Manager and business leads is a must, not only to interpret talent needs and manage resource requests, but also as a trusted partner in handling matters pertaining to customer satisfaction, human resources, and budgets.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a skills matrix and updated resumes for all billable resources within the division
  • Prioritize data accuracy with a focus on allocation across project & ad hoc client needs
  • Focus on building a process based on data with the aim to improve decision making around resource headcount, assignments, and team structure
  • Coordinate the transition of resources across assignments
  • Ensure capacity supports staffing needs
  • Review and assign all ad hoc client requests via our ServiceNow portal
  • Assist with managing and increasing utilization for the professional services team
  • Analyze and report on weekly utilization reports to direct manager and related stakeholders.
  • Interact directly with clients, sales, and project managers as stakeholders of resource needs
  • Assign & allocate resources to our projects based on skillset, location, language, and style
  • Recommend process improvements as needed to improve Resource Management for growth & efficiency
  • Remediate issues regarding under or over allocations of current staff members.
  • Lead in identifying resource challenges and make recommendations for solutions
  • Provide leadership with forecast of resources against backlog & pipeline
  • Identifying recruiting, cross training, and career development opportunities for staff
  • Participate in hiring process including interviewing candidates for talent acquisition
  • Liaise with contract management, clients, and cross functional departments collaboratively
Skills Required:

Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 3-8 years resource management or project management experience in software solutions industry.
  • Proven success in leading, collaborating, and contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Determined ability to keep people motivated
  • Recognized ability to work creatively and logically in a problem-solving environment
  • ServiceNow and SmartSheet experience is a plus
