Purpose:

The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ (“Department” or “FLHSMV”),

Division of Information Systems Administration (ISA) is seeking qualified contractors

to provide consulting services to augment and/or collaborate with, the Department’s

Division of Information System Administration (ISA) on an as-needed basis, for

ongoing enhancements and support to the Unified Collaboration (UC) Voice

environment.

The candidate will work with the Department’s Telecommunication staff and provide

ongoing enhancements and support for the Department’s Headquarters, Florida

Highway Patrol (FHP) Regional Communications Centers (RCC’s), FHP Troop

Locations and Division of Motorist Services remote sites.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proven experience in UC platforms
• Proven experience in designing, documenting, planning, and implementing UC telephony products
• Proven experience in integrated recording solutions
• Thorough understanding of Telephony and UC voice protocols
• Superior knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco UC voice routing hardware, software, protocols etc.
• 8 years of experience of creating comprehensive implementation, test and back out plans of UC telephony products
• 8 years of experience in UC telephony performance analysis, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning
• 8 years of experience of writing technical and procedural documentation
• Proven ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to UC infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of voice communications including voice router configs and related technologies
• In-depth knowledge of VMware technologies
• Proven knowledge and experience in UC telephony security technologies
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of UC telephony privacy and protection initiatives
• Knowledge of Cisco UC telephony routing and switching technologies
• Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) & Wide Area Network (WAN)
• Must possess Cisco Gold Partner Certification

• Preference will be given to candidate that have experience working in FLHSMV systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
