Description:
.The primary responsibility of this role is to support the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) program, Safety KPI (Key Performance Indicator) program, CHIPS program, and lead Safety Month activities. Reporting to the Operations Safety Manager, the person in this role will support the Safety department's objective to provide a safe work environment and ensure each person works safely through clear safety standards, training, and audits. This position will manage;
- On Floor Audits and Inspections
- Meet with key 2nd shift members to enhance Safety Culture and Safety Presence
- Managing assigned safety program budget items
- Attend 2nd Shift Safety Walks and Meetings
- Leading CHIPS (pedestrian safety) program
- Act on 2nd Shift Safety concerns which may lead to long term projects
- Utilize Problem Solving skills to enhance compliance on 2nd shift
Requirements:
- This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs (ie. Excel, PowerPoint)
- Regulatory safety experience with a demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, ANSI and NFPA safety requirements
- Experience with safety awareness (policy development & implementation, safety investigation, reporting, database management and risk assessment)
