Join our growing General Construction team! We have an immediate need for a Door Assembly and Installation Technician in Northern Virginia.
Essential Functions

- Oversees job site.
- Leads, trains, and mentors junior door techs and carpenters.
- Follows and understands construction documents and submittals.
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
- Installation of steel tube subframes into new or existing openings. Requires occasional welding skill.
- Installation of new frames, doors and hardware.
- Programming of door controls and auto door operators
- Test and adjust operation of doors. Troubleshoot and correct operational issues.
- Perform ancillary carpentry work related to door and window openings.
- Construct or modify building partitions and ceilings as needed for door installation. Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials.
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is plumb, square and level.
- Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications.
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients, vendors and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship.
- Provide timely and complete documentation of work performed.
- Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment.

Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years experience in the trades
- 3 years experience with Force Entry Ballistic Resistant, STC Rated and RF Shielded Door assemblies.
- Experience working in a SCIF environment.
- Certified Installer of one or more manufacturers below:
- Lockmasters
- Overly Door Company
- Krieger Security Products
- Surelock McGill
- Adamo Security Group
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Work in a data center environment
- Secret or Top Secret Clearance
