Goals and objectives:
at CGS are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft emergency equipment throughout the world. We are the ones that pack and ship hazardous materials that fly with pilots and passengers onboard. Our job is to rely on the regulations, get the right answer from the data, and solve problems so our customers don’t have to. We train rigorously and often take our responsibility seriously, and document, document, document.
Most importantly, what we see last is what the customer sees first. We make aircraft fly by performing the last step of the process to ensure required aircraft components reach their destination on time, undamaged, with the right paperwork. Our job isn’t done until the customer receives the part, installs it in the aircraft, and the aircraft takes off.
This role is important because we directly affect aviation safety. If our parts arrive damaged, contaminated, or defective, we put lives at risk. If shipments are delayed due to customs or documentation issues we stop the transportation of critical emergency patents, donated organs, government officials, and various other people and things that the world relies on.
Success is defined by shipping and/ or delivering all parts, materials, and articles the same day or as required for critical orders. We will never lose a customer’s part or accidentally ship something to the wrong place. All parts that come to the shipping area will be properly labeled, packaged, and organized. Customer service team members, customers, and inspectors will never need to question the data in our system. We will never miss a shipment because we didn’t have the boxes, packing, or supplies we needed.
We know we did a great job when customers don’t have to call for tracking numbers or shipping updates. No boxes get returned nor damaged in transit. We know about shipment delays before our customers do and we communicate any issues before they expect delivery. All our local pick-ups and deliveries are completed in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. We maintain our company’s history of zero violations from the DOT and FAA.
